AiDANT is a leader in edge-based AI analytics, specializing in computer vision applications for security, safety, and care environments. Their family of AI products runs directly on Axis cameras, delivering powerful intelligence right at the edge. From people and vehicle recognition to behavior analysis and fall detection, AiDANT transforms standard IP cameras into proactive monitoring tools.
This article outlines the ability to integrate with AiDANT Care directly but Camcloud can work with any AiDANT product. Contact our sales team for further details.
AiDANT Care is purpose-built for healthcare and assisted living and can:
- Detect a fallen person
- Determine if a patient has left their bed, or has been out of bed for a longer time than expected, notifying nursing staff of a problem
Integrating AiDANT Care requires these steps:
Step 1: Install AiDANT Care on your camera
- Obtain AiDANT Care from here
- Install AiDANT Care through the Axis camera Apps menu and install license obtained from AiDANT
Step 2: Obtain Camcloud Integration URI
Go to the Camcloud web app and click the double dot next to your camera name. Select "Integrations"
Select the Events tab and copy the URI
Step 3: Configure AiDANT Care and setup Axis event rules
- Open the AiDANT Care app on the Axis camera and configure your detection accordingly (i.e. select "Detect fallen persons")
- Add a Recipient on your Axis camera using HTTPS and the copied URI from Camcloud
Note: The same recipient can be used for all of AiDANT's AI products.
Note: "Test" will not pass but the recipient will be functional if copied exactly from Camcloud.
- Add a rule on your Axis camera:
- Select "Use this condition as a trigger" (not shown in image)
- Condition: Fall Detected (or any other AiDANT condition)
- Action: Send notification through HTTPS
- Recipient: <name of the recipient you created in the previous step>
- Query string suffix: product=<desired product name, e.g. Care>&action=<desired action name, e.g. Fall Detected (including spaces)>
Full query string suffix example: product=Care&action=Fall Detected
Note: The query string suffix is required to make the search easier when trying to find matching events. Spaces are important when specifying the action in the query string, e.g. "Fall Detected", "Patient Out of Bed". See screenshot below for reference:
Now you're fully setup and you should see your AiDANT-related events on the Timeline or Event Explorer.
Tip: in the Event Explorer you can search for "fall" and see all the fall detected events for example.
