You'll be adding a Sony camera as a "Generic" type. See this documentation for details.

When you setup your camera, make sure to save the FTP server name, Username, and password. You can find that under the camera menu.

Now we need to add this FTP to the Sony camera interface. Consult your Sony camera documentation on how to access the camera interface. Typically this is done by entering your camera's IP address into your address bar of your favorite browser and login using the camera's credentials.

Tip: If you're having trouble logging into your camera, try using Internet Explorer as your browser.

It's time to update the FTP Settings.

Under Setting, click on Action Output, and go to FTP still Image Sending.

Replace the FTP server, username, and password with the information you received after setting up the camera.

Now go to Action Output, and click on Execution Condition. Make sure "Motion Detection" is selected for "FTP still Image Sending".

Now go to action input, click on the Motion Detection tab, then on VMD settings.

This is your motion detection zone. If you want to cover the entire screen, grab the corner of each point and stretch it out till the opposite corner.

Click OK, and that's it!
