The Camcloud platform supports the AAC audio format for use on our web and mobile applications. Not all cameras support this standard so audio support is dependent on the hardware you are using with Camcloud. 

Most cameras default to G.711 audio codec so you'll need to change this to AAC if the camera provides that capability.

Certain cameras work out of the box with audio on the Camcloud platform:

  • Axis

  • Amcrest

  • Speco

  • Helix

  • Galaxy

While other brands require you to change the audio to AAC such as:

  • Milesight

  • Hikvision

Depending on how you have setup event recording the audio might be different than live view. So you might get audio with the live view but if you have motion clips being sent to the cloud the camera might not include the audio. Consult your camera documentation on the audio support.
