Wanscam | Camcloud

Wanscam

Note: Before starting, make sure that you've port-forwarded your camera. If you're unsure how to start the port-forwarding process, take a look at our guide for some guidance.

Step #1. Follow the Generic MJPEG documenation to set up your camera on Camcloud.

Save the FTP Server name, username, and password credentials somewhere. You're going to need them for the next step!

The setup wizard is gonna run through its process and confirm that it completed the configuration successfully.

Step #2. Login to Your Camera and Update FTP Credentials

Now that you've setup your camera on camcloud, login to your camera by putting the camera's ip address into your address bar.

Go to the Device's settings page by clicking on the "circular" button on the right hand corner.

Now that you're in the camera's settings page, click on "FTP Service Settings". Now update the FTP server, user, and password with the one that you received on Camcloud.com.

One last thing, click on the "Alarm Service Settings" and make sure "Motion Detect Armed" and "Upload Image on Alarm" are both checked.

That's it! Let's make sure that your camera's working!

Step #3. Make Sure Your Timeline Page is Getting Populated

Go over to the Timeline page to see if any recordings were saved. The timeline will populate any event that happens with a blue bar. You can also download the clip if you'd like by clicking on the download button.

Whenever there's motion activity, your video and image recordings will be saved and stored in the cloud which allows you to access it from anywhere, including your Android or iOS device.

That's it for the setup!
